Longer terms and better rates

The use of BIP grows significatly

Gustavo Marangoni, president of Banco Provincia, announced today that “transactions through Banca Internet Provincia (BIP) rose by 60% on average”. Loans and fixed-term deposits had the greatest increase due to higher profitability and better terms offered by this digital channel.

Marangoni announced that "the digital change in banking transactions is consolidating among customers to such an extent that the number of loans taken through the Internet doubled in September".

The president of the Bank stated that "our promotion policy on the use of Banca Internet Provincia with substantial benefits for obtaining better profitability and longer terms, responds to Governor Daniel Scioli's request to offer better services to users".

As regards data collected in September, the first month of full operation of the new BIP, online transactions such as loans and fixed-term deposits increased by 102% and 83%, respectively, over August. Moreover, transfers grew by 32% and payments of taxes and services, 25%.

Fixed-term deposits made through BIP still have a special interest rate compared to those made in person. Likewise, users who take loans through Banca Internet Provincia may pay the first installment after 90 days.

Marangoni highlighted that "beyond economic benefits, customers who use the Internet may save time, operate wherever they are located and avoid the use of cash".

More than 300,000 customers are already using the new Banca Internet Provincia platform.
